440A Stainless Steel

Type 440A stainless steel attains a highest hardness of straight chromes. Good corrosion resistance and is magnetic in both the annealed and hardened conditions. Type 440A has limited weldability because of the hardenability of the alloys. It can be moderately cold formed with some difficulty if it is annealed for maximum softness.
